What to order in these restaurants? A wide variety of dishes is offered. Each menu is different, but you will always find traditional cantonal dishes. Rarely disappears from the menu Pola Antequerana - a cold soup of tomatoes, bread, olive oil, salt, pepper and garlic. Summer months are extremely hot; however, you can protect yourself by wearing good clothing when visiting during springtime, when you may see birds nesting on the access paths to the visitor's reception hut and especially from El Gaitanejo Canyon, which is in early Spring.

How To Get to the Caminito del Rey

If you're looking to get the route to the Caminito del Rey, there are many ways to do this.are a lot of ways to get there – by road or rail. RENFE offers daily trains that stop at El Chorro, so you can always check the timetable and prices beforehand. If you'd prefer to drive, check which roads lead up to the national park and whether they're open in winter.

From Malaga, take the scenic A-357 to Zalea Crossing. From here, you can continue on this same road to Ardales and then take the exit MA-5403 towards M-442 until El Chorro. You can also continue on the A-343 until the Pizarra and A-7077 junction towards Álora-El Chorro. From Alora to El Chorro, there is about 12 km of winding roads with amazing views of citrus crops, hills covered in olive and almond trees, and plenty of quaint villages to explore along the way.

In El Chorro, we find a convenient train station and shuttle bus stop that leads to one of the accesses of El Caminito. There is also a tourist information center and a visitor service center to enhance your stay. The parking lot is also the perfect place to park your car while you explore this beautiful area.

If you're looking for a scenic route when traveling from Casabermeja to Antequera, we recommend driving along the AP-46 and then joining the 45 motorway. However, if you'd like to enjoy some beautiful views without enduring long drive times, we suggest continuing towards Villanueva del Torcal. You will find La Joya, Los Nogales and Las Lagunillas in this direction.
