Highlights of 2 days in Seville

To be effective, we will focus of course on the magnificent mudéjar style of Reales Alcázares and its gardensand gothic  Cathedral of Sevilla. (The official name is “La Catedral de Santa María de la Sede”, Cathedral of Saint Mary of the See).

From a cultural point of view, the temple is the third largest church in the world. It was built as early as 1401 on the foundations of an ancient Almohad mosque and and known for his famous Orange Tree Courtyard.

The Patio de los Naranjos in the Cathedral, which was a mosque at the time. Today is a point of interest for our travellers to Seville, who enjoy a walk through a historical site steeped in the smell of orange blossom.

Inside you will see in the chapels the choir and the high altar and you will understand that the magnificent cathedral of Seville is the greatest Gothic church in the world and the third highest church in Europe next to St. Peter’s in the Vatican and St. Paul’s in London.

Also, we will see Plaza España in Seville. This square will amaze and seduce you with its beauty. You will certainly get the impression that this square is very old because of its architecture and character.

And yet it was only built in 1929 for the Ibero-American exhibition

To continue our discovery of Seville, we will also see Plaza de Españana and the Plaza de América and the poetic statue of Gustave Bécquer (the Bécquer brothers’ birthday is in 2020), the gardens of Murillos and the old Quarter of Seville.
