Be brave and join us! Come and enjoy this walk along the spectacular El Caminito del Rey path built by the Sociedad Hidroeléctrica del Chorro.
If you don’t know it yet, you should know that they built it for a very specific reason: to have an access road between Salto del Gaitanejo and Salto del Chorro for their workers. The King’s Little Pathway also crosses the Gaitanes Gorge.
The Desfiladero de los Gaitanes is a gorge in the centre of the province, crossed by the River Guadalhorce. Its northern access is in the Basin of the Guadalhorce and its southern access is in El Chorro.
From the northern water reservoir a water channel has been built to El Chorro, and at the same time a road has been built for the maintenance of the channel.
After reaching the Conde de Guadalhorce dam, it is the most important water reserve in the province of Malaga.
It is called The King’s Little Pathway. It was inaugurated by King Alfonso XIII.
The path is about 3 km long, has sections less than a meter wide and is located about 100 meters above the Guadalhorce River. It has been recently restored and runs along the same channel, with vertical walls and a pedestrian bridge over the gorge.
After 4 years of extensive repairs and renovations, The Caminito del Rey was again opened to the public in 2015 and has gradually established itself as one of the most appreciated and valued active tourism activities in Spain as well as by travellers visiting our Andalusian lands.
In total the Caminito del Rey trail is 7 km long and can be travelled without risk thanks to the many safety measures implemented along the way.
This excursion is suitable for those who are looking for an incredible experience with breathtaking views and start hiking the impressive El Caminito del Rey trail.
The tour starts from Seville and, as a regular tour, takes place every Tuesday and Friday with departure from Seville City. Our guide will tell you the history of the Natural Park of the Gaitanes Gorge.
Once the excursion of the Caminito del Rey is finished, we will take you to a local restaurant for lunch and to taste the typical gastronomy of the Sierra de Málaga or, if you prefer, you will have some free time to choose your own restaurant or to have a picnic with your friends/family if you wish.
Once the rest is over and after seeing the last views that this splendid natural enclave offers us, we will return to Seville, where we will arrive around 19h00 with the unforgettable souvenir of a special day.

We took a very informative King’s Little Pathway tour with them. The suspended walkway is so impresive and the views are so unique. Recommended.
We made a beautiful excursion from Seville to Caminito del Rey. A bit windy in the day but all perfect.
Amazing scenery. Perfect for the family.
I enjoyed the king’s incredible walk through the gorge and it was so impressive! It’s a must see if you’re in the area.
